Aaron Odom

Born in Sacramento, but raised in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO). As a child, I was heavily involved in team sports such as baseball and soccer. My father introduced me to golf at the age of 8, and that sport (is it a sport? I think so) took over my life for the next 12 years. I feel that studying and learning the golf swing has given me a good sense of body awareness, as well as the ability to quickly learn new movements.

I started CrossFit in August of 2009. A trainer saw me doing the famous “300” workout at 24hr Fitness and told me to look it up. My first WOD was Fran. After 10 minutes of horrible looking thrusters and “half pull ups” I was destroyed. I realized I was horribly out of shape and was hooked on this CrossFit thing. I watched every video I could and did main site programming as much as possible at my 24hr Gym.

I joined CFES in December 2010. Another eye opening moment for me, because I had horrible form. After a few months of getting my ass kicked by our members, I started getting better. Justin then asked me if I wanted to become a trainer. I attended my Level 1 seminar in June 2011 and haven’t looked back. I have found my dream job. Over the past couple of years I have gained the knowledge and experience to train all types of people and have them move well. I have earned multiple certifications including Mobility, Powerlifting, and Endurance training.

I currently reside in Fair Oaks with my wife Lindsey and our dog Louie. In my spare time away from the gym/working out I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and playing video games.
