How's it going? I hope everything in and out of the
gym is going well. I saw the videos from the throwdown and it looked
crazy-fun. It seems like you all ran things pretty smoothly.
I thought you guys might get a kick out of these pictures. They're from
my first attempt at teaching the squat to some Iraqi refugee kids I
work with here. I think it went OK, considering the difficulty of
explaining the concept of "lumbar curve." To a 12 year old girl. In
Arabic.
They also played around with some handstands and a
short little "WOD," which quickly degenerated into chaos. But, little
by little, or "shway shway" as they say here, we'll get there.
I'll probably be here until around August, then back to the states for God knows what. See you all then.
