Right after we opened the gym, I drove out to Lincoln and picked up a 380# tire and we labeled it the BFT. At the time I remember it feeling pretty heavy, and a few of our strongest females were able to flip it over. Later on down the road, a local neighbor called me up and asked if he could drop off a tire that his wife was making him get rid of. Now we had a 440# tire and the BFT wasn't so B any more. Later the same guy came by with a matching tire which I traded a friend for a 550# tire. The 550#er feels really heavy and was fun for a while.
In planning for the throwdown I stopped by Blair's gym and he had two of the monster size tires that we used in the throwdown. At first attempt I couldn't even get it to move, which bothered me a bit. I wanted to see if I could just move it, which I did. After that it was a mission to become the second person to flip it, which I did. After the throwdown, I convinced Blair to let us keep it, given the fact he has an identical one at his place. So, now we have one for you all to take a wack at. Let's call it the HFT.
So far, after seeing me do it, Blair was able to do it. 3 of the strongest competitors in the Throwdown were able to do it. Ben Alderman, Jamie Lee, and our very own Alan Strange. Then Matt P flipped this bad boy pretty effortlessly as we were cleaning up from the event.
2 questions. Are you man enough? and who's going to be the first female to flip it?
