Pam Eggert and daughter Elizabeth taking their first fundamentals session.  You all are going to be seeing a lot more of this going on at CFES.  Almost every one of you has developed a decent squat.  However when we add a stop watch and another complex movement it seem many of you suddenly forget how to squat.  We are seeing too much weight on the balls of the foot and mis-alignment of the knees.  In other words ugly squats.  We are getting back to basics this week.  We need more practice in fundamental movement to develop some consistency, so that when intensity strikes, we dont fall appart.  Greater technique will lead to greater intensity, less strain on the joints, better muscle balance, and greater results.

In the following lecure clips from CrossFit.com, Coach describes the relationship between intensity and technique.  He discusses how we actually want to increase the intensity to the point where we see some error in form starts to occur.  However when technique declines too much intenstiy needs to be reduced.
