The sumo deadlift is a great variation on the conventional deadlift that is too often overlooked by CrossFit athletes. The movement is a great sub for people who are either too tall or to inflexible to keep good lumbar position with the conventional deadlift. It will also hit you in some different areas that will strengthen both your squat and your conventional deadlift.
