LarHSAs Amber is putting her full weight on my back, while I’m doing the cobbler pose, Travis yells at her “Don’t do that. He’s a million years old.” I do appreciate Travis’ concern about my age, but even at a M years old, I’m as flexible as someone half that age. And that is due, in large part, to my attending Amber’s FlexNasty class once a week for the past 5 months. My flexibility has improved a lot since I’ve been attending. Recently, my masseuse told me to keep doing whatever it is that I’ve been doing because my legs are much more relaxed. I also attribute this to the great stretching we do in Amber’s class.

When I was in my twenty’s, I used to walk on my hands a lot. I didn’t really think that I would be able to do that a million years later, but now I can. Again, thanks to Amber’s class.

I try to do FlexNasty once a week. I find it to be a nice break from the grind of the regular CrossFit GPP. It is a lot of fun doing forward rolls and handstand rolls. Seems more like child play, but when it’s over, I feel like I got as good as work out as GPP. It was at first, and continues to be a little scary sometimes. Someone once said that you should do something a little scary every day. I’m happy with once a week.

I think that everyone should give the class a try. You’ll get stronger and more flexible and have some fun, too.
