Leah has been training with us just over 4 months now. She came to us with a background in college soccer and a great fitness base. This video is of her second time ever going for a max overhead lift. The first attempt was a few weeks ago and she made it to 120. This week she got up to 148. We were happy with that lift for the day stopped her there even though she probably could have gotten more.
In the video you see that she gets slightly out of position on the split and has to struggle to hold the bar up. Being a perfectionist, she shakes her head knowing that the lift was off. When making max lifts and pushing for PR's, form is going to break down. If it doesn't, you're probably not pushing yourself. As Leah's technique improves, we are going to see some big lifts in the near future.
