Maintaining a Healthy Low Back

Deadlift 5-5-3-3-1-1-1

The Deadlift is one of the most functional movements known to man.  Our bodies are very well designed to pick things up, heavy things.  The deadlift incorporates every muscle in your body and has a tremendous impact on your fitness level.  Leaning to deadlift properly promotes good posture and a bullet proof lower back.  You will be far less likely to tweak your back performing normal daily activities.

Carol Penney demonstrates an exellent starting position for the deadlift, her back is straight and the bar is right on her shins.  Carol started CrossFitting and following the Zone nutrition plan two months ago and has already lost 20 pounds!  Great work Carol, keep up the fantastic progress.
