I left my bar loaded after finishing the Deadlift Burpee couplet last week with 275 on it. Travis was re-doing the Deadlift Wall-of-Fame board, and started calling for Brooke to come pick up the 275 so he wouldn’t have to re-do it again in a week. Brooke was training a member, and I started yelling, “Yeah come on Brooke, DO IT!” Kinda joking, but kinda serious. We both knew she could pick it up.

So without a warmup (not a good idea) she walked up to the bar, and this is what we got.

Remember, we do not support any of you lifting like this, and this is not how we train either. This was a one time type of thing and although it was quite impressive, it was pretty irresponsible of us to encourage this type of behavior. We were confident that Brooke could make this lift, and that her body was resilient enough to not get hurt while doing so.

Just because you saw it on a CF website doesn’t make it alright for you. It is also important to realize that what a 26 year old stud can get away with, is not going to be safe for everyone.

With that all said… Way to be strong Brooke.
