Rae in position to give Brian a spot on a low bar squat.  Brian is plenty strong to make this lift, but he's getting upwards of 90% here and things happen real fast when someone fails a lift.  Not only is it better to er on the side of caution, but having a spotter can actually increase your confidence which will actually help you lift more.  Any time you have any question on a back squat if you're going to make the lift, get someone you can trust to give you a spot.  You'll be safe and probably even lift stronger with the added confidence.  Dropping bars off your back is not a good bail out plan, because bars don't always fall backward and when they fall forward over your head, bad things can happen.
