The rolling pistol is a great way to work on pistols while simultaneously working on your hollow position and rolling technique. Pistols themselves are very difficult, but with the momentum of the candle stick roll you can pop right up onto your foot. In the workout, if you loose your balance before you finish standing up, no rep. You must plant your foot and stand up without hopping or touching your other foot just like Carl in the video.
