Here's what it looks like when the intensity is over.  If you don't feel like this after, you had more in you.  Great job Brenda, keep bringing it.

The last two days WOD's have been great!  Good technique and intensity were the focus and the result was fantastic.  Some of the best CrossFit we have seen in our box yet.  We are going to be programming our workouts with the goals of maximum intensity and training our athletes to compete in the Nor Cal Qualifier for the 2009 CrossFit Games.  We will be going as heavy as possible and as hard as possible for shorter more intense bouts.  Remember INTENSITY is the key to fitness, not duration or volume.  You can workout for hours a day, do thousands of reps, go hundreds of miles, or hold that weird pose all day long.  You will NEVER reach the fitness levels of CrossFitters who crank out 5-15 minute workouts daily with the intensity of a hurricane.

In the following video, Coach describes what intensity means to us, how functional movements play a role in creating intensity, and what benefits follow intense fitness.
