Matt came in later yesterday… after a 19:12 5k run in the morning, and worked on his snatch with Travis. After a series of muscle snatches, overhead squats, and snatch balance, here is the result. Matt still needs to work on the position of his 1st pull, and on his footwork in the recieving position, but for a first attempt at pulling deep under a barbell, this is a great success. Learning to snatch heavy weight is one of the most important skills you can develop as a CrossFitter. The transferability of the squat snatch to everything else we do cannot be understated. It is well worth your time and money to schedule some private sessions with a coach to hone your skills.
