Meet Cindy (The Trainer, Not The Horrible WOD)

Cindy has been a member with CFES for some time now, and comes to us with an accomplished CrossFit training background.  She has worked closely with the legendary Robb Wolf and Nicki Violetti at NorCal Strength and Conditioning since they opened.  Robb and Nicki are the creators of the On-Ramp program that many CrossFit affiliates used to introduce thier new members into the program.  This program has been created through years of experience training athetes of all levels in a CrossFit setting.  Cindy was one of the On-Ramp intstructors at NorCal for a number of years and will be introducing us to the program for the first time starting September 8th.  We are very lucky to have this oppritunity to have Cindy teaching this program straight from the source that it originated.  If you don't know Cindy yet, take a minute to say hello and be prepared for another top level CF trainer to be helping coach in our facility.

Cindy's Bio:

Cindy Oji has been part of CrossFit NorCal (Chico) community from nearly the start.  It wasn’t long after Cindy began working out at CrossFit NorCal that her interest in the training principals behind CrossFit drove her to attend the CrossFit Level 1 training certification.  She has since also attended seminars for Olympic Lifting, Performance Development Series with Dutch Lowy, Nutrition with Robb Wolf, CrossFit Kids and is now Level II certified.

Cindy brings a well-rounded athletic background to the gym—with experience in the team sports of Softball, Soccer, Rugby, as well as the individual events of Track and Triathlons. Cindy is a role model for healthy living—both in and out of the gym.  Her own personal quest for a healthy lifestyle is what makes Cindy an excellent trainer. 

An excellent cook, Cindy enjoys making delicious and healthy Paleo/Zone friendly food—and is a great resource for clients in need of nutritional support.  Sharing her love of food and cooking with her clients is one way that Cindy gets to know her clients more personally.

Cindy currently coaches the On Ramp Class—and enjoys the energy and community that develops in group classes.   When working with individuals in a personal training or small group setting—Cindy finds personal success in her clients’ achievements.  Cindy is motivated by the idea that everybody can live a healthy lifestyle when given the appropriate knowledge and support.
