While group training is a great atmosphere for camaraderie and motivation, there are downsides to only doing group training.  We can’t possibly make a single program that meets all the individual needs of all the different people in the gym.  You all are so different in terms of your abilities, your strengths and weaknesses, and your goals.  A general fitness program may not emphasize the particular movements you need to work on frequently.  You may also find that you need more guidance than you can get from a coach who is dealing with 8-15 other athletes can give you.

Whether you are someone who still needs to work on dialing in your air squat, someone who is trying to learn more advanced gymnastic movements needed for CrossFit competition, someone who struggles with nagging injuries, someone who is training for a specific sport, or someone who needs to focus on weight loss, private training is a necessary supplement to your group training.  We have time and time again seen people have break through moments when the decide to work with a coach one on one.  They learn to do the movement they couldn’t get right before.  They lose more weight than ever before.  They get stronger than they ever have.  They figure out how to stop hurting themselves when they lift.  All kinds of good things happen when you have a coaches undivided attention for an hour at a time.

The truth is, that there’s a tremendous difference when a coach is watching every move you make and making decisions for you that you may not make on your own.  If you are serious about your goals, talk to one of us about getting some one on one time to work on your particular stuff.  The most beginner level athletes and the most advanced athletes in the gym alike reach their goals faster when they make an extra investment in themselves.  Think about it.
