A group of us got together last Saturday to take part in a little different type of physical exertion. Blair had the idea to do some threshold training involving max effort truck pulls followed by max overhead holds for time. We scored each round as your time from the start of the pull to overhead lockout, minus the time you held the lockout. The truck was SUPER H-E-A-V-Y and a real SOB to keep moving, and holding weight overhead following the max effort pull proved to be a great challenge mentally and physically. The guys did 2 rounds each on our own and the girls paired up for the first two. On the third we decided to pull the truck in pairs to get more speed going and put all 3 girls on the back of the truck for a faster push.
Following that we hit a quick 2 minutes of max double unders straight into two minutes max burpees. Overall it was a really fun day doing some different stuff, training with great athletes, and pushing one another to go harder.
