Also, good luck to all the competitors today.

Great job to Chris for pulling all the little pieces together to make this an event. Travis, I love and hate that you set the weight limits, but you forgot we don’t all have a TRON suit to put on and be as strong as you. Justin, thanks for keeping things mellow. And I hope most of all that Brooke was put in charge of the music. She knows how to make the box be jumpin’!!
Matt Brogan
Angie, Olga, Jon….time to Fill the Bucket!

Thanks a lot Alice – your comment was a nice surprise first thing in the morning. Is it normal to be so nervous that you feel like you might throw up and poop your pants at the same time?
dawn
i have already started drinking

Good luck to all competitors today!

Thanks for making my first Throwdown experience so much fun! I had a great day and would loved to have stayed, but it is my boyfriend’s birthday. He probably would have come over to the party if I had asked him to, but what kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t make today a little bit about him. 🙂 Sabrina, Sean, Brian, and Roger, it was such a pleasure. Thank you for all your support! I hope to see you around more that I have an unlimited membership for the next month. That wasn’t a joke, right, Lene? Chupas for life!

Wow! What a blast! Old personal recrods dropped like flies today, but I doubt that is what people will remember. What I will remember is what a great group of talented, strong, funny people I spent the day with, well, I will remember that as soon as someone burns the image of Scott licking whipped cream off Justin’s chest from my memory.

Today was wonderful. Thank you for the opportunity to work with and learn from such incredible teammates (Lauren, Josh, and John you guys are so amazing) and fellow competitors. Down to the bitter end I was constantly impressed by the athletic abilities, determination, heart, and multidisciplinary talents (singing, acting, stand-up, hula-hooping – Lauren you are an animal) of all those who competed. Y’ALL ROCK!
Matt P
I think I am more sore from laughing at Scotts skit than I am from the deadlifts.

Scott… That was cruel and disgusting… And super feckin funny and LEGIT. sorry I was a bit drunk today everyone. I don’t do karaoke sober. Great performance by everyone today. We’ve got beasts in our box and any other box in the area can’t hold a candle to our shit! Yup yup! I can’t wait to do this again next year. Singing and all! Viva las Chupacabras!!!
AND than you DOOOO much again to whoever had the kindness to perform such a kind act toward me. It really means SO much! You have no idea. If I ever find out who you are. I owe you. That was one of the NICEST things that has ever been done for me and it truly warmed my heart. CFES is the best place ever. I will cry many tears if I ever have to move away and leave this place. You are all awesome!!!!!
Matt P
Hey newbies and everyone else. We have a CFES page on Beyond the Whiteboard here:
http://beyondthewhiteboard.com/gyms/927-crossfit-east-sacramento
Everyone should sign up and log their results. It’s a great way to keep track of everything (like a paper journal on CrossFit). It allows you to track power output, bar bell lifts and everything in between.
I’ve posted WOD B as the WOD for today. Take a look and sign up.
Great job today everyone!

Angela, Matt, Jon, you guys rock – thank you for getting me through some of the most nauseating moments in my life.
Chris and Travis, thank you for organizing the Newbies baptism in crossfit competition. From the idea to completion – it was awesome.
Thank you CFES for overwhelmingly generous prizes for everybody, unexpected and thoughtful.
Salut! Sante! Cheers!

Infinite thanks to all those people who encouraged me today. Liz, Cori, Laura, Brooke-I can’t thank you enough for helping me through my dark cave of painful despair, known as thrusters. Thanks to my captain, Derek, and my teammates Connor and Stephen T. for being awesome!!
Most of all, thanks to Justin, Travis, Lene, and Brooke for making it all possible and creating and growing such a great community of friends.
Ok, that’s it….there’s a piece of cheesecake calling my name.

SKINNIN’ THE CAT, MAXIN ALL COOL
WATCHING STUPID HUMAN TRICKS OUTSIDE WITH SOME FOOLS
WHEN A FIREBREATHER SHOWED UP STARIN” US DOWN FOR THE WOD
SO WE DRANK THE KOOL AID AND GAVE A NOD TO THE SQUAD
I CAN’T REMEMBER IF IT WAS HELEN OR GRACE , BUT SHE WAS DEFINITELY A BITCH THAT HAD TO BE PUT IN PLACE
FEELING STRONG ENOUGH TO MAKE THE MUSCLE UP CLUB
WE WERE READY TO DO ALL THE GIRLS , THAT IS UNTIL WE MET THE TUB
OUR LEGS GOT WEAK AND THINGS GOT RATHER SPOOKY
WITH A YICK AND A YACK WE MET MR. PUKEY
THE REST OF THE WORKOUT WAS RATHER GRIM
BUT WE AIN’T GOING BACK TO NO GLO BO GYM
3-2-1, GO AND IT’S BACK TO THE RACE
WE POWERED THROUGH OLY LIFTS AT A RECORD PACE
WITH ONE FINAL PUSH WE RX’D THAT WORKOUT LICKETY SPILT
AND PROVED ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT THE HONEY BADGERS JUST DON’T GIVE A SHIT!!
Until next time.. Mama Badger OUT!

SCOTT CHARLES.. Dude you may not lift the most weight at CFES but friend you have the BIGGEST BALLS of all!!!!
Claudia (Bro Mike's and Matt's mom)
Thank you Matt for getting me into this crossfit thing. Brooke, Travis, Justin, and Lene you have always been very supportive and pushed me to overcome my fears, many thanks. Great Party and competition guys. Last and not in anyway least, thank you to the whole East Sac Crossfit community. I don’t think I could have gotten through all those thrusters without your fantastic and unwavering support. I am so glad someone else was counting.
Scott that took real guts! Justin I don’t know what he whispered in your ear but…… the rest is history as they say.
Thank you everyone for a great day and the CFES experience!!! Great WODs to you all!
