The ability to deadlift heavy, quickly, and safely is one of the ways you can tell a good athlete from a firebreather in CrossFit.  The heavy deadlift takes years to develop and rivals any exercise out there in terms of its impact on your athletic ability.  Today is your chance to see how you have improved or to set a standard by which to measure your deadlifting ability.  Knowing your 1 rep max on various lifts is very useful for helping us to scale your WODs appropriately.
