12.15.12 Book DriveMany thanks to everyone who brought in books this week for the book drive! (And Trav, who threw in his spare change from his Chipotle burrito purchase). Satch can't even count how many books there are in the box. I know some of you are still planning on bringing books or donations in, I'll do another pick up at the end of the week. 

Books go to local Sacramento public schools and partner organizations like the Sacramento Boys and Girls Club and Food Bank. 

 

Strength this week 12/16/12:
Tues 6pm: 1RM low bar back squat
Thurs 6pm: 1RM bench + take it down to 60% and AMRAP
Sat 11am: speedy box squats

This is last week of our current cycle; we'll start up again in force after the holidays. I think a lot of you are progressing in body awareness and finding the correct bar path for each lift, but we could use some refinement on specific strength areas and lifting with more body tension. So, look forward to additional assistance exercises and maybe a supplemental kettlebell cycle just for fun. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to play around with and I'll try to add that in. We'll test our 1RMs towards the end of Feb before the Open.
