Yesterday was great fun being outside at McKinley park and doing a longer WOD in a team setting.  It is not often that we go into a longer more endurance based WOD like yesterday's.  We hope that you can all see by now that by training short and intense as most often do, that you have gained great ability to go long and to do so with high output all the way.  I ensure that you all performed better on this WOD than people who train long all the time would have.  If we were to train more on endurance based programming you would never have reached the fitness level that you are at.  Endurance training lacks all out intensity and diminishes your capabilities in many other modalities of fitness.  The winner of the long run at the CrossFit Games 2009, Chris Spealler, hates running, never trains for it, and still had the ability to beat everyone who did train for it.  The magic is in the movements and the greatest benefit comes from the intensity.  You all are amazing athletes with great drive, motivation, and superior abilities.
