The Saturday Open WODs will be run Open Gym style from 8:30-11:00. Please sign up for the OPEN WOD OPEN GYM class on FDHQ as you would for a regular GPP class. You may show up any time during the class. We will make heat times on one of the whiteboards and you’ll sign up for a heat. We will also have a suggested warmup for you and coaches to help you through the WOD.
If you are not participating in the Open, you may still sign up for the class and come do the WOD with us. Just do not turn in a score card.
New Members:
We encourage EVERYONE to participate in this event! When you are just getting started is the best time to get a solid measurement on just where you stand. By the time next year’s event comes around, you will be able to see a dramatic improvement. These Saturday events are a great time to come mingle and get to know the community. You’ll be greatly supported by those who were in your shoes in past years. Do not be imtimidated and do not leave yourself out of the fun.
Do not worry if you do not think you can complete all the movements/WODs as Rx’ed. We will help you scale the workouts and make sure you get a good day of training.
Scheduling Problems with Saturdays:
We will allow you to perform the Open WOD any time you need to from Thursday night to Saturday at 11. We will also allow you to do it on the following Monday. If you are traveling Thursday-Monday any give week, you may find another affiliate to do the WOD at, or carefully follow the instructions for a video submission.
