30 Day Zone Challenge

ID-100209372If you have a had a slow start to the new year shedding off that holiday weight then I have a couple things that might help.

First, print and check out these articles from the CrossFit Journal:
Metabolic Derangement
Glycemic Index
Getting Off The Crack
Zone Meal Plan

Simple take aways from the articles:
Lots of unused carbs make you fat. Eating just enough food to support your exercise and activity level will result in the body you want. Let’s learn to get this crap under control!

Second, we will begin our 30 Day Zone Challenge on February 2nd. We will decide who wins by highest percentage of bodyweight lost. Winner will receive a free month membership and bragging rights as well as the pride of having improved yourself.

Third, this Saturday after classes at 11:45am I will be giving a quick run down of the Zone, how to make it work for a busy schedule, and answer any questions you have. Cost to attend and do the challenge is 15$. I will be available to answer any and all of your questions during the challenge through text, email, or phone call. I will also be nagging you about it in every one of my classes.

Making a lifestyle change like this is very difficult, but having support from friends going through the same thing makes it a little easier. I hope to see you on Saturday!

I look forward to joining the challenge, I won’t be in town Saturday I’ll still be in Vegas. I’m coming back on Monday is it ok to start then?

Awesome! Aside from starting CrossFit, learning about the Zone was a lifechanger for us. Although we still eat better than before we learned about it a few years ago, we’ve been drifting and its certainly time to get back on it. Perfect timing too with the Open right around the corner! Thanks!

The first rule of any challenge involving a weigh in: always weigh in naked. Sure it makes you uncomfortable, but it makes them even moreso and it shows you have nothing to hide (John Cena, “Legendary”).

Seriously though, what a bargain. You will get more than $15 worth of recipes out of AO in a month (all he does is cook and play video games outside of the gym).

Thinking about it, but I work on Saturdays. Need to get back on track.

I’m kinda surprised that more guys haven’t signed up, what with the not-so-subliminal advertising shown above and all.

I’m in. Hope to find my abs under all that jiggly flesh that’s been creeping onto my belly over the last 6 months. Thanks for this exciting opportunity. Kira
