Hi Everyone..
As many of you know I am a cycling enthusiast and while I have spent more time in the box then on my bike in the last two years, there is one cycling event I commit to every year. A 6 day 600 mile Ride from SF to LA all in the name of cancer research for the City Of Hope.
Yes 6 days of LSD cycling that systematically tears down any flexibility and strength gains Justin and the team have managed to help me gain. You know how much they love this 🙂
Most people ask WHY!!!!! Well I love my bike and the challenge of riding 6+ hours a day.Oh and love all the food and beer I consume at the end of the day.. Oh and did I mention I am one of two girls doing the ride. Liz + 35 guys in tight cycling clothes..Uh Yeah … not that rough!
This year I am doing it for a more important reason, my cousin; who at 44 has undergone a double mastectomy, chemo therapy and is now doing daily radiation. Her strength and grace are both humbling and inspiring. I am honored to be able to get out there and do my part in finding a cure…
Fuck Cancer! Honey Badger don’t give a shit.. I say we kick it in it’s ass…
For those who suffer we ride!
If your interested in donating please see the link below. I know many of you donate to several causes and appreciate you considering this one.
See you all in the box soon! http://www.fireflieswest.com
Chris – what do you mean by Level 1 Test “promotion?” that’s what we need to do to get promoted to Level 1? or is that what the Level 1 folks have to do to get promoted to the next level of bad-ass-ness? or you’re just trying to promote Level 1 to all of us to make it look appealing?
Hey folks. Looks like there is a CF Endurance Cert this weekend at CF Centurion in Rancho Cordova. Anyone that is spending a hold ton of time doing long slow distance training (Liz, Broski… Erin…. um… any newbies) would benefit from seeing how the CF model applies to endurance training. The certs are pretty evenly split between training efficient running and talking about the CF Endurance Programming philosophy.
Heck, its not too far, you could probably Yog to the thing. http://www.regonline.com/builder/site/Default.aspx?EventID=986458
Liz, you rock!
Level 1 Test promotion to me sounds like 50% off across the board: instead of 400m run, it’s 200m; instead of 10 pull-ups it’s 5 and so on. Sign me up!
Yeah Jamie, real C-effers do kettlebell :D!

Does anyone else sort of miss Justin’s ability to actually post a blog story? Well, at least Allie was able to come in and workout at 9:00.
