Many of you earlier this week saw me with this funky sex-toy/cane looking device in the gym working my neck and upper back. I recently jammed up my neck and shoulders trying to learn the gymnastic skills that a 5 year old gymnast has mastered.
I got a Thera-Cane about 6 years ago when I was having some neck issues and it worked great to get out some of the knots and tightness that was casuing me to end workouts short and get severe headaches.
Many of us struggle with neck and upperback tightness and or knots/trigger points at some point. Foam rollers and lacrosse balls have their place and work fairly well, but this thing is the best tool you can get for the neck and upper back area. It comes with a user guide showing you how to use it on many body parts, but I have found that simple creativity works great for digging into those nasty trigger points that are hard to reach.
This simple tool has greatly helped me self treat strains and tweaks over the years and it is something that every household should have. One of the best ways you could ever spend 35 bucks.
