Yesterday was the first time in CFES history we programmed a 5k run as the WOD. We had a fantastic route that followed the American River. Quite a few of you who hate running surprised us and showed up to face the WOD. On the flip side there were a handful of you who saw what the WOD and totally pussed. If you looked at the WOD yesterday and decided to skip, you are a CHERRY PICKER.
Don't forget what we are here for. CrossFit is all about developing competency in all modalities of fitness and in all 3 metabolic pathways. Running for 20-30 minutes is not only a legitimate workout, but an important one. We are not here to be weightlifters. We are not here to be gymnasts. And we are not here to be runners. We are here to be all of those things at once, but most of all we are not here to be cherry pickers. Facing your weaknesses is the way to the highest levels of fitness. If you skipped the run yesterday you owe it to yourself to make it up.
