Squat 5-5-5-5-5

"Good Times Invitational Event 1"
AMRAP 5 Minutes:
1 Full Depth Snatch plus 2 Overhead Squats 135/95
*You must complete the snatch and the 2 overhead squats in an unbroken sequence to compelte a round.


Although I am not privy to how it all went down, this year's CF charity event will no longer be the Fight Gone Bad that we have come to love/hate.  There was some kind of disagreement with Sportsgrants who has been organizing the event, so CFHQ took the reigns back we will be doing a new version of the event which will be called Hope. 

Hope will take place on Saturday June 9th and will benefit the St. Jude's Childrens hospital.  The workout will be in the same fashion as FGB with 5 stations lasting 1 miunte each.  The following will be performed for 3 rounds with a 1 minute rest station between.

I had the team do this WOD last Saturday and it was an ass kicker!  As always, we will of course offer scaling to fit ALL peoples needs weather young, old, injured or whatever.  The day and the event are about building the CF community and supporting St. Jude's.  We will be inviting all local affiliates to join us for a huge "CFES style" event.  This will also be a great opportunity to expose outsiders to CF, so if you have some friends who's arms you have been trying to twist into giving CF a shot, this is going to be a great opportunity for them to get involved.

This is our version of a 5k charity event, except we will do CF instead of a 5k.  It is my goal that every single person in our membership participates in some way to make this a great day.  Please mark your calendars and plan to make a small donation.  We usually recommend $50, but any donations will be accepted for participation this year.

BTW, we will be doing this WOD in L1 classes Thursday, and in Foundations on Friday if you want to get a baseline before the big event.
