cropped-main-page-images21The Inov-8 crew will be in the gym tomorrow during our noon class showcasing some of their products. For those that don’t have weightlifting shoes this will be a good time to get fitted for their lightweight lifting shoe the Fastlift 335.

    Noon on Tuesday?

I think 335 grams is less than half the weight of the original Nike Romaleos.

    Anyone try these on yet?

Anyone want to comment on the value of a light lifting shoe versus a heavier one? Is a lighter shoe better for lifts with foot movement (clean & jerk and SNATCH!) versus a heavier shoe that might be better for lifts that are stationary (including, without limitation, back squat, front squat, and overhead squat)?

    • I can’t think of one reason why a heavier shoe would be better in any circumstance ever. Everyone who has Inov-8 lifting shoes that I have seen is happy with the quality.

I loved my inov8 lifting shoes. I say loved because I think they got stolen out of my car. I’m so sad. Anyway, I’ve been through my fair share of shoes and these were by far the best.

Will keep my eye out for homeless people clomping up and down the avenues in lifting shoes. What were they thinking?

I really dig mine. It is certainly nice to have a light shoe as it makes the decision between wearing or not wearing them during a workout much easier.
