Roger "The Bald Bull" Salameh came to CrossFit as a mentally and physically strong with some of the worst flexibility we had ever seen.  We had to greatly limit the weights we let Roger lift because his positions were so bad he was surely going to injure himself.  Roger has always been a good sport and is driven to get things right.  Here we are a year later and not only is he much more mobile, but he is much stronger.  Roger has finally reached the point on hip flexibilty that we an let him go all out on his squats and deadlifts.  He is shown here on the way up out of the hole on a 265# front squat.  He was able to get this lift beautifully with proper lumbar position all the way.  The unlocking of the hips will surely allow Roger to continue to get stronger for a long time to come.  If we an get the same mobility in his shoulders I have no doubt we will see a 40 year old with a 300# clean and jerk within the next couple years.  Great job Roger, you are a beast.  Some of you might remember Roger's character from the 1980's Nintendo game Punch Out.
