Where’s The Beef?

***Thank you all for the feedback yesterday on new class times.  We are
going to make a decision on the new schedule next week and start new
classes on the week of May 4th after the Nor Cal Qualifiers.  The new schedule will be posted here and on the whiteboard in the gym.  Stay

Thruster 3-3-3-3-3

Qualifiers are getting very close.  Now is not the time to be reckless and try to throw up Heman weights with ugly form.  Now is the time to perfect your technique.  Work on your position at the bottom and your rhythm in transitioning to the overhead movement of the thruster.  Get your thruster dialed for the Qualifiers.  Who knows you might even lift more weight by being focused on perfection.

Look no further, the beef is right here.  Travis, Matt and Chris suffering through yesterday's low skill level/high output WOD.  Sometimes it is nice to get away from all the technical stuff we do and just get crushed by a elegant WOD.

Check out this highlight video of David Millar, the winner from the So Cal Qualifier.  Look at the standard of movement.  Squats below parallel and stands up all the way at the top.  Full lockouts on overhead exercises.  The standards in a competitive CrossFit event will be the highest possible.  There will be one judge per athlete making sure that every rep is 100% complete or it won't be counted.  Step up your standards over the next week and be ready for perfection.  Video from the CrossFit Games website compliments of Paul Szoldra.
