With a 15 Minute Running Clock:
1 Minute Air Squats
2 Minutes Double Unders
3 Minutes Push Ups
4 Minutes Box Jumps 20″
5 Minutes KB Swing 44/26

Rx+ = Ring Dips, 24″ BJ, KB Snatch

Announcing This Year’s All Member Throwdown

In the past we have called this event out Newbie Throwdown and have aimed it towards new members. This year we certainly want our new members to participate as much as possible, but we want to encourage all of you to get on a team!

August 2nd
8:00am-12:45pm and beyond for those who want to stay and play.

Teams of 4
3 Team-based CrossFitty type events
1 goofy fun event
We will use the pool, but swimming experience is not needed, everyone will be able to participate.

Full details of event will be announced after we form the teams.

1st event starts at CrossFit East Sac
2nd event will be a unique kind of 1.5 mile race to Glenn Hall Pool in River Park
3rd event will involve the pool in an unique way

You must sign up by Saturday July 12th.

When you sign up, list your preferred workout times and days. We will do our best to handicap teams based on athlete ability and will select a team captain who has lots of experience in the gym. You will be allowed to meet with your team and train for the event as needed alongside our normal classes.

Do not be discouraged by your abilities!!!
This event is about member participation and building our community. Please sign up and plan to participate regardless of your ability or comfort competing. It will be a fun day and an opportunity to get to know some of your fellow fitness enthusiasts better. This event always proves to be the most fun thing we do all year and with the addition of the pool, this year is set to be the best member throwdown yet!  Running and swimming ability will not make much if any difference in this challenge!!!

Each team will be required to bring a lunchtime type to share for after the WODs are finished. The pool has a no alcohol policy, but drinking out of red cups easily circumvents this. So make your favorite jungle juice type beverage and lets have some fun together after the WODs are done.

Sign up on the back white board at the gym. If you can’t get in to sign up, then send me an email letting me know you want in and your preferred WOD time/times.

As stated above, this will be a blast, so if you are in town Aug 2 sign yourself up!!!  Do not worry about your ability level or physical limitations.  We will make sure everyone can participate and that all have a great experience.
