Rest Day
    or
8AM CFE WOD in prep for the Tough Mudder @ Aquatic Center, Lake Natoma

Crossfit teaches us to be fit for life and it also gives us opportunities to learn how to “hack” life so we can survive it.  Just as we train our bodies to survive, we should train our minds.  The beauty of CrossFit is that is challenges us in ways we never knew we would be challenged.  It provides a platform for us to get out of our comfort zones and do new things.  Yesterday, while doing candlestick pistols somebody as they fell to the floor in a not so graceful fashion said “gosh this is what a baby must feel like trying to walk.”  We are blessed with CrossFit wods because at some point we run across something we are not good at or can improve upon.  Life long learning is imperative.  This article gives 50 things everyone should know how to do, and then provides resources to learn! Learn it, live it, love it!  Number 7 is:  Tell a Story that Captivates People’s Attention.  Check out these familiar faces telling or “singing” a story that definitely captivated people’s attention.  Love you guys!!

I never get tired of watching this. Love you guys. Ari, you’re such a wordsmith.

  2. Wait a minute… First off… I remember saying that in all the agony I experienced in that WOD. Second off… I thought this Damn video was dead and gone… ‘m such a drunk mess…Thanks a lot, Jackie.

  3. Sometimes you need a lot of alcohol to step out of your comfort zone. At least I did. Props to Ari for being the creative genius behind our song.

  4. It was my way of getting around the anti-skit sentiment, including my own. Parody Karaoke, of course, was the solution. Sean, I’d rather see your drunk mess “Oooh ooh” -ing like Cee Lo than dressed up like Brooke. There’s always next year. 😉

  5. Lots of great support from CFES box-mates. Leah especially helped me through the barefoot row of 2,000 m. Blisters appear after about 500 m, just FYI. The pain allows one to meditate and “zone out” as Leah instructed me. But hey, it really was a lot of fun. Would recommend it highly.

  6. Tough muddier crew run was great.
Josh, Sean T, Kyle and Conner all showed for a vicious little climb. We did a loop of about 1/2 mile, terrible climb up rattlesnake hill, then back around to the bottom of the hill on a valley trail. 5 rounds with about 2 minutes rest between.

  7. I thought the idea of a wig with baloons down the back side of my shorts was so good, it would have ousted Broski’s getup. But drunk karaoke is a fun alternative.
    Chupas for life!

Justin – Any chance we could get a gymnastics night set up sometime soon? Last time was loads of fun…
